P/S:What is ISSM ?

WRT the presenters, provided the laws of the Hijab are observed and the discussions are within the parameters of Islam, there is not much of an issue. Whether there is a dire necessity for such a thing is as you say debatable… but to discuss this is beyond the scope of the article – and certainly a question for the Ulama.

The Jamhoor (majority) opinion is that the voice is not the awrah (that which is to be concealed before a non-mahram). However, the voice must not be made seductive (see Surah al-Ahzaab, verse 32)

As for your last question, history is replete with examples of Islam being attacked from various quarters. One of the verses most apt is,

“Lo! Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first) change that which is in their hearts; and if Allah willeth misfortune for a folk there is none that can repel it, nor have they a defender beside Him.” (Surah al-Rad, verse 11)

well in that case they can go find somewhere else to present and have people look at them in all sorts of ways.

but i do question is there a need for these presenters? yes it provides jobs but there are other ways for them to make a living. i think it has its pros and maybe some cons, but none of the cons are anything mentioned in the article.
also i’d like to know what does Islam say about there voices which can obviously be heard?

facebook in reality is nothing but a monitoring system – allowing for surveillance without coercion – people stick up their details as though it is no harm, yet in reality they are allowing themselves to be surveilanced… Basic rule no.1 of internet use, never give out your personal identity or details.

sometimes your actions on facebook can have bigger consequences than you think at the time, look at the example of the 4 teenagers killed in the car crash on Saturday – the pictures used to show their identities in the media, were pictures taken from facebook. there is no need to mention the details, but i don’t think it was suitable to show those pictures of the deceased teenagers, but because they were there, the media used them.
